A talk with Nobel Peace Prize-winning journalist Maria Ressa, part of The Kershner Family Series Global Leaders at ��ҹ����, was a highlight of ��ҹ����’s annual Family Weekend, held Oct. 27–29, 2023.  

��ҹ���� is seeking at least $100 million in new endowment gifts to support continued growth of the ��ҹ���� Commitment, the University’s expansive approach to making a ��ҹ���� education affordable and accessible to all admitted students.

Massive steel girders surrounded by scaffolding and shadowed by mammoth cranes are easily viewable to any passing motorist on 12B in Hamilton. But that work is a small snapshot of the many construction and renovation projects now underway.

On June 1, ��ҹ���� announced the ��ҹ���� Commitment: An Initiative in Access and Affordability.

In its first year, ��ҹ����’s no-loan initiative awarded more than $1.5 million to students.

Daniel Benton ’80, P’10, H’10 has secured his place as ��ҹ����’s most generous benefactor, making a $25 million gift in support of the University’s Middle Campus Plan for Arts, Creativity, and Innovation and other elements within The Third-Century Plan.

��ҹ���� announced the creation of two endowed faculty chairs that will support teaching and research in areas important to The Third-Century Plan.

��ҹ���� celebrated the creation of the Jones and Wood Family Vice President for Admission and Financial Aid on Friday, Oct. 4, 2019.

MacDonell “Don” Roehm Jr. ’61 earned All-American and All-State honors for his skill as a ��ҹ���� soccer fullback. His passion for protecting ��ҹ���� athletics off the field as well was enshrined in a $4 million endowment bequest.

The easternmost of ��ҹ����’s two new residential facilities will be named Burke Hall, in recognition of a $10 million gift from Gretchen ’81 and Steve ’80 Burke P’11,’20.
